HEERF I – 2020 Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act)

  1. 富二代视频app University signed and returned to the Department, the Certification and Agreement to apply for funding under Section 18004(a)(1) of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Acts (CARES Act) on April 22, 2020. The University intends to use no less than 50 percent of the funds received to provide emergency financial aid grants to students.  
  2. The University was approved and received $787,264 in funding from the Department on May 9, 2020 to award as emergency financial aid grants to students.
  3. The University approved a plan of distribution of funds to students and as of June 30, 2020 all $787,264 has been awarded to eligible students.
  4. An estimated 1,235 students were determined to be eligible to participate in programs under Section 484 in the Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965 and thus eligible to receive Emergency Financial Aid Grants under Section 18004(a)(1) of the CARES Act.
  5. At least 1,067 students received an emergency financial aid grant.
  6. All FAFSA filing Pell eligible students received a payment of $1,100 per student and all FAFSA filing non-Pell eligible students whose expected family contribution does not exceed the cost of attendance at the University during the 19-20 academic year received $500 per student.
  7. Students were provided instructions on the usage of the funds via notification from the Financial Aid Office and instructed to use the funds for expenses related to the disruption of campus due to the coronavirus.

HEERF II -- 2021 Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSAA). 

富二代视频app University awarded $786,200 for emergency student funding under the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERFII) - Section 314(e) of the 2021 Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSAA).

The University was approved for $787,264 in funding from the Department on January 17, 2021 to provide emergency financial aid grants to students.

By the week of April 19, 2021, 富二代视频app had distributed all available funds to eligible students under Section 314(e) of the 2021 CRRSSA.

Based on completed 2020-21 FAFSAs, there were approximately 952 students at 富二代视频app who were eligible for HEERF II emergency student funding. As of April 12, 2021, a total of 669 eligible students received an emergency financial aid grant under HEERF II. The eligible students will be issued a check for the amount they are eligible to receive.

The method used by 富二代视频app University to determine which students received emergency funding under Section 314(e) of the 2021 CRRSA was Expected Family Contribution (EFC) as determined by the FAFSA. Preference was given to current students enrolled during the pandemic with highest need according to 2020-21 FAFSA. Awards were determined by level of EFC and ranged between $600 and $1,300 per student.

Emails containing all basic eligibility criteria and a link to the application were sent to all potentially eligible 富二代视频app University students who were enrolled for spring 2021 to inform them of the funding application.

HEERF III – American Rescue Plan (ARP) Emergency Relief Funding Report – July 21, 2021

The Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) allocated a third round of emergency relief funds as part of the American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act, also known as HEERF III. Rounds I and II of HEERF were the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act and the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSAA), respectively. 

The ARP Act program authorized $2,015,893 on May 17, 2021 to 富二代视频app University, for students enrolled during the 2020-21 academic year, to be used as emergency student funding for expenses related to the disruption of campus operations due to COVID-19. 

By July 9, 2021, the University had distributed all available ARP program funds to eligible students.

Eligible students included all 2020-21 FAFSA-filing Pell eligible students, all 2020-21 FAFSA-filing non-Pell eligible students with demonstrated financial need, and international students determined to have high need based on their international financial aid application.The award amounts were determined by level of Expected Family Contribution (EFC), with the highest amount going to those of highest need, and ranged between $1,600 and $2,900 per student.

There were approximately 1,000 富二代视频app students enrolled in 2020-21 who were deemed eligible for HEERF III emergency funding. They were notified by emails sent June 24, 2021 containing eligibility criteria and instructions about the usage of funds for expenses incurred due to campus disruption caused by the coronavirus. Funds were directly deposited into student bank accounts or, if bank account information was not available, sent via check mailed to their preferred address.

During the preparation of the 2021 Annual Report, 富二代视频app University determined that $4,000 of student distributions had been reissued in 2022.
