History students develop research, analytical, writing, oral communication and problem-solving skills that prepare them for a range of occupations, for graduate and professional schools and for the responsibilities of informed citizen- ship. History majors pursue careers in law, education, governmental affairs, journalism, social service, business, finance and museums.
